Job Description

·           Lead and co-ordinate Internal Communications strategy and planning across and within all parts of the Corporate Banking Division-  

·           Holds overall accountability for ensuring the communication plans for each business area are delivered, and for the delivery of the CBD internal Communications plan


    Deliverables

    ·           Create internal communications strategy across CBD and its multiple businesses and align business objectives with the communications strategy   

    ·           Drive the business and communications strategy by identifying issues and trends, and initiating projects across the full spectrum of internal communications activity, integrating and initiating a joined up approach with Markeitng, Media Relations and Public Affairs-

    ·           Measure success and value to the business by implementing appropriate feedback mechanisms as appropriate for each communications channel-

    ·           Apply expertise and knowledge to maximise the potential of the communications resource within a strategic context

    ·           Drive efficient communication programmes based on business requirements

    ·           Input, drive and assist the implementation of both communication and organisational initiatives

    ·           Build capability and drive 'world class' performance securing recognition both internally and externally

    ·           Lead and motivate team to deliver excellence in the execution of the communication plans

    ·           Identify and sponsor key programmes / projects which support the delivery of the Group Communication and CBD / business unit communications plan


      Experience

      ·           Significant and in depth communications experience or   general business experience, with demonstrable evidence of business partnering activities across multiple stakeholders

      ·           Ability to influence at a senior level

      ·           Successful delivery of communication initiatives that have added value to the business

      ·           Matrix and multiple project management experience

      ·           Ability to build and utilise networks inside and outside business  

      OthSignificant Role Requirements:

      ·           Flexibility and change orientation - the ability to work in a consultancy/matrix based structure with a large volume of business critical tasks-  

      ·           Demonstrates a range of communication and influencing styles to suits a wide range of stakeholders

      ·           Requirement to work flexibly as per business demand

        Direct line responsibility for a central delivery team plus matrix hard line responsibility for business embedded Communications Partners

         

        Financial Management:

        Project Budgets plus staff and associated costs
