Job Description

The Head of Collections is responsible for developing, training and encouraging the Collections team to build long-term relationships with the customer base that focus on overdue debt reduction, resolution of queries, overall collections performance and customer relations. You'll act as a role model and inspire excellence through leadership by displaying key management competences as well as managing the expectations of the senior management team in relation to monthly and quarterly targeting. You'll establish and adjust priorities to manage personal and team workloads as well as ensuring adequate resource is available within the team. It will also be your responsibility to implement continuous improvements in processes, methods and systems to ensure consistently high levels of efficiency are attained at all times.

Customer driven with a proven background in collections preferably within the Secured and commercial environment you will also have the ability to analyse complex financial data and formulate action plans. You'll have proven man management skills with an ability to motivate and facilitate development of the overall team as well as development of individuals. You'll have excellent organisational and time management skills and be capable of making balanced and logical decisions using available data and be able to diagnose the cause of a problem and propose workable solutions. Above all this you will demonstrate stable performance under pressure or opposition and make logical, controlled decisions even when faced with potential conflicts.
