Job Description
GRG's prime function is to undertake positive and active management of the Bank's problem lending portfolio- The Department seeks to add value to exposure management with the aim of returning accounts to the originating Group Business Unit / Subsidiary in a "satisfactory" condition, maximise debt recoveries and obtain levels of reward commensurate with risks undertaken   Please see attached role profile and for further details/contact Declan Hourican


    Requirements

    o          Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA

    o          Requires minimum 7+ years of relevant financial services experience

    o          Financial services, preferably investment banking experience

    o          Strong commercial acumen

    o          Credible individual who is comfortable dealing with and facing challenge from senior  
    executives

    o          Experience of financial control and governance

    o          Strong technical knowledge

    o          Proven track record of delivery and achievement in the financial services industry

    o          Ability to deal with multiple priorities and deadlines

    o          Strategic focus and understanding

    o          Understanding of capital and its application in business

    o         People Management skills


      Responsibilities

      o          Working with the GRG FD on capital efficiency programmes for GRG

      o          Developing and implementing a strategic plan for GRG Finance in conjunction with Operations

      o          Working with operations in the establishment of a GRG Middle Office

      o          Work with the GRG FD in the establishment of a global finance framework for GRG including the hiring of regional GRG finance managers

      o          Implementing a robust control environment for GRG finance

      o          Taking ownership and control of the provisions process for GRG including oversight   of provisions submissions, challenging and engaging the business in conjunction with the GRG finance manager

      o          Assisting the GRG APS Manager in delivery of the GRG APS programme including resourcing and controls-

      o          Working with the GRG FD in formulating MI improvements and enhancements

      o          Key liaison with key stakeholders including GBM finance, UK Corporates finance, Group Credit Officer, Group Credit Risk etc

      o          Working with the FD in dealing with information requests and presentations to senior executives in the bank-

      o          Assisting in supporting the MD and senior management team of GRG

      o          Engaging with external and internal auditors on provisions   Please see role profile for further information
