Job Description RBS have an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous experience in graduate recruitment to join the group- The successful candidate will:- - Be responsible for leading and delivering a consultative end to end graduate and intern recruitment cycle for a predefined division/business area within the RBS group
- Work with Graduate Programme Manager to understand the strategic importance of graduate talent within each division/business area-
- Deliver against the divisional/business areas talent succession strategies, a consistent pipeline of high calibre graduates and interns-
- Be responsible for the attraction, assessment and selection of students to divisional/business area graduate programmes
Requirements Best Practices & Governance · Ensure the Group's graduate recruitment strategy and governance are implemented across all programmes · Act as a source of advice about graduate resourcing within business areas and across the Group; · Ensure risk management considerations feature in all decision processes- Programme Design & Development · Lead and be involved in graduate related projects across all programmes · Partner with Diversity teams to roll out key events and initiatives · Partner with the business on headcount and business planning Attraction & Campus Management · Actively seek opportunities to increase our market presence and recruit talent from diverse talent pools- · Liaise with EBM Graduate Manager and Campus Consultant to influence overall marketing campaign and determine additional programme specific activity- · Work with Campus Consultant to build a targeted campus plan in order to drive high quality applications and maximise our application to hire ratio- · Organise and attend campus marketing events and activity to promote the Group scheme and individual programmes- · Support Programme Manager in sourcing business sponsors to act as ambassadors for RBS graduate programmes and facilitate business/faculty relationships- · Support management of business alumni teams at target schools/universities · Identifying sponsorship opportunities, gathering competitor intelligence, sourcing attendees and presenters plus co-ordinating travel and logistics for target schools/universities · Co-ordination of event marketing at a university level including identifying most appropriate marketing channels and university publications Return on Investment Measures · Proactively report on graduate hiring activities and programme performance e-g- retention, progression, achievement levels, diversity etc- in a meaningful and timely manner identifying issue, trends and solutions · Tracking and management of any designated allocated recruitment spend / budget Selection · Candidate pre-selection and screening for graduate and internship programmes as required · Manage candidate pipeline with HRSS team, identifying where additional marketing is required to boost applications · Liaise with business to understand 'destination' roles for all graduates, recruitment requirements, skills sets etc- · Work closely with business HR teams to source assessors and line representatives · Point of communication for business, graduates and HR on graduate assessment related matters- · Ensure management information remains accurate and is distributed frequently · Attend and assess at Assessment Centres- · Ensure all new joiner administration is complete and is part of a seamless process- · You will also be responsible and the appropriate on-boarding is carried out including facilitating familiarisation events- · Work wi th On-boarding team to ensure all new joiner administration is complete and is a seamless process- Relationship Development · Build effective working relationships with relevant business stakeholders as directed by the Programme Manager- · Management of graduate and intern budget and to record and track all budget spend · May be necessary to manage people in the delivery of your role, depending on business need and structure- · Build effective working relationships with: · Business stakeholders · HR Business Partners · Graduate Development Consultant · Graduate Central team · External suppliers The Individual Essential: . Resourcing knowledge, particularly in Graduate arena, and broad experience of Resourcing and HR Shared Service models . Development and maintenance of excellent external knowledge / networks . Demonstrable track record in key stakeholder / relationship management in a complex, matrix business environment . Written, oral and influencing communication skills . Understanding and practical application of a variety of selection methods including assessment centre and competency based interview techniques . Employment law - related to recruitment and resourcing activity . Data Protection Act - working, practical application Desirable: . Knowledge of Financial Services Sector . Ideally, experience working in-house, managing recruitment in a professional / technical function or sound experience within agency account management . Budget and risk management experience .
