Background
We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join the AXA PPP Healthcare Actuarial team in Tunbridge Wells. We are ideally looking for a Graduate in Mathematics / Statistics, but applicants with similar experience will be considered.
The role
You will deliver high quality analysis within the Actuarial team to support AXA to make key business decisions to achieve financial targets. Whilst providing statistical and mathematical advice to other areas of the business as necessary. Key Responsibilities; Financial & Actuarial Modelling - Assist in developing new and existing Actuarial models for economic and financial modelling projects. Pricing & Monitoring - Produce technical analysis and reports to assist with key business decisions in Pricing through the monitoring of marketing campaigns and third-party arrangements. New Product Development - Undertake new product development activity considering key stakeholder needs as well as required profitability. Statistical Advice and Analysis - Develop knowledge of statistical techniques and provide expert analysis and advice to other AXA PPP business areas. Data Structures and Extraction - Develop knowledge of available data sources and support Actuarial team with data extractions ensuring data is validated and of suitable quality.
Skills, knowledge and behaviour
- For this role, you will need to have excellent mathematical, statistical, analytical and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness, flexibility to achieve deadlines and teamwork are also very important.
- A numerical based degree is preferred, but applicants with suitable experience will be considered.
- Ability to design and undertake complex analyses as well as being able to communicate the results.
- Strong PC modelling skills.
