Job Description The FXO team provides accounting and analytical support to the Exotic FX Options business and is responsible for Financial Reporting (P&L / Balance Sheet) and Product Control (Independent Pricing / Reserving) for both businesses- This is a diverse and complex global business trading an extensive range of both vanilla and exotic products- The FX Spot team is responsible for P&L and Balance sheet substantiation for the FX Spot business, GBM Strategic investments as well as Core Markets Executive P&L reporting to senior business management- Requirements - Specific business knowledge & technical knowledge required
- Strong PC skills (Excel)
- Product / Financial control experience - Currency Options experience preferable
Supplementary Skills - Qualified Accountant
- Good general knowledge of traded derivative products
- Access / VB knowledge
Responsibilities The role will include work on all areas below (in conjunction with other team members); - Preparation of the daily P&L reports for the business, including reconciliation, analytical review and providing commentary to senior management
- Close liaison with the trading desk to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of trader queries and provision of other ad-hoc business support
- Preparation of the month end Balance Sheet reports for the business including intercompany reconciliation and analysis, preparation and full substantiation of the trial balance
- Close liaison with Market Risk, Central Pricing, Operations and other Finance teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries
- Development of procedures and controls including P&L , Balance Sheet and independent pricing processes
- Maintenance and development of the control environment
- Assist in systems testing as required
- Support GBM Finance core values and behaviours
