Job Description
The FX Trading Technology team delivers features and enhancements to the bank's core front office FX Trading system- The team has a global presence and works closely with the business and support teams to further the bank's core trading capabilities- The main users of the system are the FX business itself, along with external (e-Commerce based) customers, operations, finance and middle office teams-
Requirements
Technical Experience · Strong development experience in Microsoft -NET / C# including client, network, database and services- · Demonstrable understanding of OO design and implementation · Background in C++ or Java development experience desirable · Ability to work in legacy technologies such as C++, COM and Visual Basic- · Experience of developing distributed solutions with use of network protocol APIs (e-g- sockets, remoting, tibco rv) · Experience of full life-cycle, from initial concept right through to live deployment and support · Development of high performance, low latency, multi-threaded concurrent applications and strong database skills Business Experience · Experience working within a tier one investment bank or equivalent environment · Exposure to a high pressure front office environment **PLEASE ASK TO SEE JOB SPEC FOR EXTENSIVE LIST**
Responsibilities
The role provides an opportunity to work on a core trading system within a top tier FX bank- It requires a proven track record in the delivery of quality solutions using mixed Microsoft technologies often to tight deadlines- Projects are mixed and range from the delivery of new core features through to trouble shooting production issues and providing BAU development support- Successful candidates will have deep -Net / C# knowledge and will have also had past experience working on a MS SQL databases- Ideally applicants will have had also had development experience using C++ and VB and exposure to multi-tier client/server based systems-
