| Job Description |
Background The role of the Financial Reporting Services Officer is to ensure that all Financial Reporting related processes and activities are executed in an accurate and timely manner for a range of OIECs and Irish Unit Trusts.
Where Architas is reliant upon third party administrators, the role of the Financial Reporting Services Officer will include ensuring that they fully discharge their obligations in line with the agreed SLAs and KPIs. This is a 6 month fixed term contract.

The role You will be required to plan, manage, execution and publication of Report & Accounts, factsheets and other report production for the Architas range of Funds. This will involve plan development, coordination and management of external suppliers, internal contributors and stakeholder. This will require Long form accounts are prepared in accordance with current accounting standards and business requirements and that Short Reports are prepared to industry standards and to meet business requirements.
You will also be required to design the process, implement and ongoing evolution in relation to production, control and review/oversight of data which is published within the reports. This will include ensuring that all key ratios of the fund are subject to analytical review prior to being released into the public domain.
You will need to take ownership of the control environment ensuring that an appropriate level of controls are in place, exercised and evidenced will will require participation in the engagement, management & oversight of external audit firms in respect of the reporting In addition, you will need to keep up to date with current FSA rules in relation to operating collective investment schemes.
Keeping up to date with current & developing accounting standards within the UK and Ireland is of paramount importance. Skills, knowledge and behaviour - Qualified Accountant (or part qualified working towards full qualification)
- Extensive fund accounting experience, part of which will have been in an outsource environment
- Proven track record of managing people
- Proven track record in production of long form accounts
- Experience in accounting for derivatives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collegiate, team player
- Demonstrable track record of project and change management delivery
- Self starter/"can do" attitude
- Experience of managing external service suppliers
