| Job Description |
Background September 2009 was something of a landmark month for Wealth Management with the creation of a new strategic business unit, AXA Wealth, bringing all our wealth propositions together under one umbrella. The first step in AXA Wealth's restructure took place in mid-September when AXA DS and the Elevate wrap platform became a core element of the wealth management proposition. In addition to AXA DS, AXA Wealth is also made up of AXA Winterthur Wealth Management, Architas Multi-Manager and AXA Wealth International, which includes the Isle of Man and the Dublin businesses. As a forecast and Planning Manager, you will be required to deliver accurate MI for resource planning and forecast work demand to enable effective operational planning. You will also ensure optimum use of resources across the Wealth Management Business. The role - To deliver complete accurate and timely forecasts of work volume data, maintaining agreed standards for quality and timeliness, to enable accurate operational planning of activity and headcount requirements within Operations
- To analyse intra day demand, produce resource schedules and consult with Managers (Line heads, CSMs & TMs) to ensure service standards are met.
- To analyse and understand weekly departmental performance against targets, and recommending courses of action where appropriate.
- To deliver analysis of forecast variances and consult with data users to refine MI to meet users needs and agreed standards.
- To deliver guidance and expertise to Managers to enable accurate long term operational planning. (Line heads, CSMs & TMs)
- To provide day-to-day troubleshooting for Service Managers and Team Leaders on the use of operational planning tools (ETS, Excel etc) and in the compilation and adjustment of their plans.
- To work with Operations Management coaches to train new Team Leaders and Service Managers in Operations Management practices.
- To contribute to the continuous improvement of the planning process to deliver best practice, ensuring at all times compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- To produce Ad - Hoc Management Information as requested.
Skills, knowledge and behaviour - Experience of data analysis and manipulation and production of MI in a multi function environment, such as a front office call centre or a back office department
- Experience of methodology of resource planning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present facts in a clear & convincing format are essential.
- Role holders should have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel, along with scheduling software and presentation software
- A sound knowledge of Aspect, ACD system or similar resource planning software
- Expert prioritisation skills to meet customer needs are considered essential for this role.
- Role holders should have experience of working to tight deadlines, under pressure & in a compliance environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in changing working environments
- Able to collaborate and build relationships across all levels
- Ability to negotiate and influence at managerial and Line Head level.
- Planning and organising and working to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail essential as is the Ability to work to tight time-scales and deliver to deadlines
- Recognised statistical qualification
- Recognised computer literacy qualification.
- Part qualified accountant preferable
- Ability to work as part of a team to deliver mutual objectives
