RBS Shared Service Finance is currently looking to recruit a number of Financial Control & Management Reporting Managers on a fixed term basis of either 6 or 11 months, with a possibility of extension in both London and Edinburgh-

RBS Finance is a full service finance function with around 6,000 people, located across around 30 international locations, engaged in a rich and diverse portfolio of businesses and divisions- Our people have significant expertise, specialist skills and backgrounds, and are truly passionate about driving the success of RBS

Shared Services Finance ensures finance systems and processes are able to support the Finance function and deliver its reporting commitments-


    Responsibilities

    The Financial Control & Management Reporting Manager will be responsible for carrying out the following:

    ·          I dentify, manage, challenge and ensure delivery of Financial Control system requirements to remove all manual process workaround activities-

    ·          Support the fit for purpose design of efficient supporting processes that will deliver a step change in Finance reporting-

    ·          Effective partnering and liaison with a diverse range of Customers, Stakeholders & Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) both internal and externally-

    ·          Work closely with the assigned Finance Transformation Project (FTP) workstreams to ensure close alignment with the overall vision, design principles (Simplify, Optimise & Standardise) and Financial Control strategy-

    ·          Work collaboratively as a core part of the Financial Control FTP Project team responsible for the delivery of all aspects of FTP-


      Requirements
        Essential Requirements:
      • Professional Accounting Qualification with extensive post qualifying experience-
      • Experience of working at a senior level in a Finance Function/Transformation Programme/Project environment, including engagement with and provision of detailed financial information to Senior Management-
      • Track record of influencing, consulting and collaborating successfully with a wide range of stakeholders from different businesses/disciplines and at senior management level-
      • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to present facts/figures/concepts in a concise and clear method-
      • Programme and project management knowledge-
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills-
      • Team players who are self starters
      • Able to build and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders-
      • People management: when required, manage project resources effectively
      • Financial Systems knowledge in a financial services environment-
      • Understanding of current Finance operating model and supporting technical architecture-
