Working as a part qualified Financial Accountant, you will produce Group and Statutory Accounts and comprehensive audit files for review in line with Group deadlines- Engage stakeholders such as Group Tax, Finance Delivery to obtain all information required to effectively answer audit queries on the accounts and provide sufficient supporting documentation to support the financials- Through this role you will engage stakeholders such as Finance Delivery and the divisional Financial Control teams to understand the performance of the Group on a legal entity basis- Review performance, cash breaks etc- and challenge the Financial Control teams to provide explanations and commentary to facilitate the preparation of monthly variance analysis and resolution of issues- Monthly reconciliation and substantiation for a number of centrally owned and cross divisional balance sheet accounts- The Individual Experience within a Financial Services organisation is not essential, however experience working for a large plc or Practice would be beneficial- Essential: · Studying towards an accountancy qualification (up to recently qualified) with relevant experience in a finance environment and financial reporting expertise with up to date technical awareness- · Strong numeric skills with an understanding of IFRS in relation to Financial Reporting- · Ability to form and maintain key relationships · Flexibility and a 'can do' attitude- · Ability to work to tight deadlines and simultaneously manage a number of priorities, managing own workload and operate within a pressured environment- With us, hard work adds up to more- Our rewards include a generous salary, the opportunity to participate in award schemes and discounted Group products- Plus we offer up to 30% benefit funding that gives you the option of choosing your own mix of cash and benefits--- All of which creates a truly flexible benefits package that fits your changing needs and lifestyle- Please note as part of our referencing process credit checks will be undertaken- Further opportunities can be found at our careers website http://www-join-us-at-rbs-co-uk/
