Purpose of the Role The Equity Derivatives Confirmations team provides confirmation supports for Equity Derivatives trades transacted globally for both RBS NV and RBS PLC- Confirmation support is provided from both Singapore and London with the team in Singapore supporting mostly the vanilla products and all the Electronic Confirmation volume- Responsibilities - The responsibility of the team is to process legal confirmations (drafting, review and checking) for transactions for the Equity Derivatives OTC Products (standard and non standard) in accordance with ISDA and FSA guidelines- This includes responsibility for ensuring that the Confirmation reflects the terms in the Sales ticket and also matches the component trades booked in our systems-
- This role supports both Outgoing, Incoming, MCA and Electronic confirmations in the current structure and will be primarily responsible for the Outgoing processes including creation and review of templates-
- Regularly liaise and engage with different teams within RBS GBM including London Docs Team, Middle Office, Legal and Front Office on processing of OTC trades-
- There will be significant involvements in various projects and process efficiency initiatives affecting the team including new system deployments and process changes-
- We are a customer facing area (internal and external) and therefore our success is measured immediately by feedback and ability to meet the demands of our clients-
- We measure ourselves to ISDA benchmarking, regulatory targets (FED targets) and the high standards that RBS expects-
- Coaching, training and guidance of junior staff within the Documentation Team-Develop effective relationships, bilaterally and through appropriate ISDA working groups, with peer counterparts to facilitate problem resolution and gain market intelligence-
- Develop stronger relationships internally within the Equities Business to improve communication and effectiveness-
- As a member of this team, you will be required to ensure that the business area conducts its activity in accordance with all relevant RBS GBM policies-
- Ensure compliance with the regulatory and statutory requirements and RBS GBM Compliance policies and procedures affecting the business area-
- Report any breaches of regulations to Legal and Compliance-
- Ensure that the business unit operates in accordance with stipulated risk management policies and procedures covering market risk, credit risk and operational risk-
- Ensure that failures and shortcomings in policies and procedures are reported and escalated on time-

- Understanding of Financial Products
- Good working knowledge in Basic MS Products (Word, Excel, Access etc)
- Excellent customer service skills, especially clear and concise communication
- Understanding of the OTC Derivative products and the associated terminologies (Equity Derivative experience is preferable)-
- Working knowledge of ISDA Master Agreements, CSA, 2002 Equity Definitions, 2006 ISDA Definitions and ISDA Definitions for other asset classes-
