The role of the Equity / Property Derivatives and Short Term Financing TF Equity Product Controller is to perform the daily functions supporting the trading desks for Equity / Property Derivatives and STF Equity. Your role will involve you in calculating and arranging the publication of daily P&Ls with supporting commentary and uploading of market data and liaison with our independent price verification team (Trading Control). You will also be involved in the fair value adjustments in accordance with methodology established by Quantitative Risk Group ("QRG") and regularly undertake the reviews of P&L trends that require additional explanation. You will also work with the trading balance sheet and liaise with Finance to ensure full and complete explanation of P&L numbers, full sign off and explanation of the General Ledger numbers, and to answer ad-hoc requests for information over trading positions and balances.
We are looking for the successful candidate to have a good understanding of the modelling, valuation, and the operation of financial instruments. You must also have an understanding of complex derivative products as well as working knowledge of risk management techniques and International Financial Reporting Standards, especially IAS39. You must have a proven history of working in Product Control or Finance and ideally be a part or fully qualified accountant who has a strong mathematical background and the proven ability to understand complex derivative modelling and model input issues.
