Role/Team Summary Programme Management - Manage programme of projects to deliver the Equities & Structured Retail (ESR) 2010-2014 business strategy
· Support Business Managers and Business Heads to refine delivery plans based on the strategic objectives- In doing so, agree priorities, deadlines and responsibilities, ensuring that realistic milestones are established to allow timely delivery
· Drive alignment of programme priorities across Global and Regional businesses and ensure delivery plans are complete
· Challenge progress on delivery of the strategic objectives as appropriate, using internal analysis and external benchmarking data
· Run established programme governance, including Steering Committee attended by Business Heads and Support Function Heads
· Produce monthly status updates and review with ESR Management Team
· Submit the monthly MI to Markets CAO team and explain progress and achievements
· Identify and actively manage programme risks, assumptions, issues and inter-project dependencies, making decisions or recommendations as necessary for ratification by the steering group
· Coordinate internal resources across the programme, ensure that project owners are fully aware of their priorities and responsibilities
· Actively manage key stakeholders, continually refreshing presentation material available to external and internal parties, and by working with all businesses to maintain consistent messaging Benefits Tracking - Manage Key Performance Metrics to track progress
· Capture and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each Business
· analyse performance data and support Business Managers and Business Heads to refine strategic plans accordingly
· Support Business Managers and Business Heads to prepare for external reviews and benchmarking- Establish relationship with key benchmark data providers and consultancies Process Improvements - Improve process for the production of Management Information
· Work with other change programmes (Controls and ESOM) to standardise governance framework
· Ensure alignment of Strategic Delivery programme plans with investment programme
· Apply best practises to programme management and develop reporting tool set Role Profile Essential Experience (Must Have Skills) · Understanding of the businesses comprising Equities & Structured Retail · Proven track record of managing complex change programmes in an Investment Banking environment · Management of senior sponsors and multiple stakeholders with a focus on timely service and delivery · Expertise in producing high quality management reports and presentations · Excellent Numeracy skills, understanding of financial reporting data · Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite (including Excel and Project) Supplementary Experience (Useful Additional Skills) · Understanding of the support infrastructure of the Equities & Structured Retail business · Advanced Excel skills (ability to define and create macro) · Previous experience of working with external data providers such as McLagan, Greenwich and Extel Personal Attributes · Good interpersonal skills, able to work with front office and back office staff at all levels and communicate effectively · Ability to manage diverse stakeholders with competing demands · Motivated self starter, able to drive multiple projects and proactively manage change · Ability to work independently, in a structured approach Competencies .
