Job Description RBS are recruiting for a candidate to join the fast growing Equity Derivatives Operations team- The successful candidate has the opportunity to be part of an exciting period of growth in all areas of Derivative Operations, a team which is being enhanced to support ambitious business revenue targets- The Equities Derivatives Operations Team consist s of Equity Derivative specialists split between our London, Manchester and Singapore operating centres, supporting Exotic and Vanilla Trading respectively- This role is to Supervise the Incoming Confirmations & Affirmations Group- This team is responsible for; (i) ensuring that the firm retrieve executed documentation on the full range of products traded by the Equity Derivatives business within regulatory guidelines (currently T+30), and (ii) ensuring that the all economics details on all equity derivative trades are affirmed with clients in accordance with internal risk requirements and regulatory targets ( T+3)- Requirements Essential Experience: (Must have skills) Experience supervising a team and/or a good understanding of Derivative products with solid experience in a documentation or affirmation related role- (Equity Derivative experience is preferred) Excellent client service skills and both written and verbal communication skills- Experience of maintaining high standards of work whilst working under pressure to tight deadlines- Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills) Foreign languages, particularly German, would be beneficial Good understanding of Front-to-Back trade workflows- Experience dealing with diverse teams across different locations A high level of understanding of the 2002 Equity Derivative Definitions Responsibilities Supervise a team of 4, as well as taking responsibility for a subset of clients The main responsibility of the team will be liaising with external and internal clients via a number of different mediums, in order to execute ISDA confirmations and affirm economics for Equity Derivative transactions- The candidate will be required to develop strong internal and external relationships in order to manage risk and targets- Ensure that any issues preventing execution of confirmations or affirmation of trades are investigated and resolved promptly with all related parties receiving timely communications as to progress Ensure that issues and delays are escalated promptly to senior management Build strong relationships with our business partners to improve client satisfaction levels Maintain the control environment - ensure compliance with stipulated risk management policies and procedures- Ensure accurate and timely production of MIS Motivate and develop individuals in the team Liaise on a daily basis with structured drafting team to ensure streamlined handover of issues The Individual Ability to develop working partnerships with a wide ranging client base, both internally and externally- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines without compromising quality Desire to influence continuous improvement in team service, processes and quality- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Reliable team player with a proven ability to manage own workload- Able to balance need for service to external /internal customers with the control aspects of the role- Strong communication skills-
