| Job Description |
Job Description Team Function - The Client Valuations Team (CVT) provides over 4 million derivative and bond valuations per month to customers of the Global Banking & Markets business principally using the Vector and iVal reporting systems
- The product scope is broad, and includes interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, credit derivatives, FX options, structured note issues, corporate and government bonds
- The CVT has a global footprint, with production hubs in London and Singapore, and ancillary teams in Tokyo and Stamford- The function is part of GBM Operations
Requirements Essential Experience: Business Knowledge - Extensive investment banking operations experience
- Supervisor / Senior Analyst within investment banking operations team / process
- Strong understanding of banking products and services
Technical Knowledge - Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Word
- Capacity to simultaneously learn several complex applications quickly and confidently
- Strong understanding of derivatives and their application within financial markets
Supplementary Experience(Preferred but not essential): - Understanding of Client Valuation, Collateral Mgmt and Operational Client Service processes
- Experience within a derivative "middle office" environment
- Experience with RBS trading / operations systems
Responsibilities Role Specific Responsibilities: - As part of the 'Flow' (derivatives) valuation team, supervise team activities in Manchester to ensure timely review and resolution of daily valuation exceptions and disputes, ad-hoc valuation reports for clients and auditors, set-up of new reports as necessary and maintenance of client static data ensuring valuations are sent to the correct clients and contain the correct data
- People responsibilities to include organising workloads and reviewing performance of 2x analysts
- Manage and prioritise client queries via incoming telephone and email traffic, and the MarkIt Valuations Manager portal
- Own the daily handover between Singapore / UK and UK / Stamford of report production, queries and client issues
- Be a point of escalation for local internal teams on the valuation reports produced and the F2B processes including NPAPs
- Act as an escalation contact for client issues
- Participate in reviews of valuation sources ensuring confidence in data and model used
- Contribute to system development (including prioritisation) and lead process improvement projects
- Promote and develop the CVT brand within the EOC
