Background To manage the development and delivery of high quality employee communications and engagement activities to all parts of the Protection business unit, in order to keep them well informed about what we do, what we stand for and their role within the Protection business unit. This is a Fixed Term Contract/Secondment to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 11 months. The role - Build, evolve and implement a contact strategy of employee communications across the protection business unit to enable all employees to understand the business and relevant news.
- Review and develop current channels and new channels relevant to the employee target audience and business objectives
- Deliver the Employee communication Programme including face to face briefings, online content etc.
- Act as AXA Protection representative on steering groups & forums relevant to internal communications
- Develop relevant messaging based on the aspirations of the senior management team and the business unit
- Act as the AXA Protection point of contact for HR to understand any people issues that require internal communications support and supply solutions to them
- Deal with confidential information on behalf of Protection
Skills, knowledge and behaviour - Extensive experience in internal communications
- Knowledge of the Financial Services industry preferred
- Understanding of the concept and application of brand values
- Understanding of print production and communications development process
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Can work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Flexible with high energy and can-do attitude, self motivated
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners and contacts at all levels of seniority (up to and including Director level) and technical expertise
- Credibility and presence to represent AXA with external contacts and partners
- Ability to work with cross functional or business area personnel for whom there is no direct Line Management responsibility
