The department
Equity Capital Markets ("ECM") is part of the equity franchise within RBS and has been pointed as global line of business- ECM has offices in Amsterdam, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney, Frankfurt, Stockholm and New York - ECM has been competing on the highest level and has been a player in the Top 10 in the league tables- Goal for the coming years is to be in the top 5- ECM advises corporate clients on Initial Public Offerings, Secondary Offerings, Rights Issues, Equity Linked transactions such as Convertibles etc- ECM Amsterdam also provides a number of services to corporate clients related to their listing on Euronext Amsterdam, for example advice on listing obligations, share buy back programs etc-
Your role
As a ECM Originator you will be part of the EMEA equity origination team based in Amsterdam covering Benelux and Nordic clients- Your main tasks and Responsibilities will be: - Originate and execute transactions;
· Build relationships with clients; develop a thorough knowledge of the client- Use this knowledge to identify, assess, promote and maximize business opportunities, using and focusing on the full range of profitable products from the different business area's · Developing into an active contributor to the overall financial performance of RBS GBM · Consistent and proactive marketing in order to create customized value-add solutions, using the full breadth of the bank's products and services · Supervise a small group of professionals in the course of originating and executing transactions International Travel is app 2 days a week-
Your profile
Proven client management skills-
Extensive product/capital markets knowledge
Strong transaction execution skills
Good knowledge of investment banking compliance
Excellent communication- and presentation skills in English Work experience: More than 10 years in a client facing/front office banking environment of which at least 5 years in one of the following ECM/DCM/M&A
International work experience at least 3 years
