Job Description The individual is a user Experience (UX) expert with WPF and XAML skills and a proven track record of delivering high quality, fit-for-purpose rich User Interfaces that are easy to maintain, well written, follow industry patterns and are performant, robust and stable- Requirements Technical Knowledge · Expert level of C# -net development skills (>5 years) · Experience with WPF, XAML · Good User eXperience (UX) skills · Familiar with established design patterns · Sound knowledge of OO methodology · Experienced across the full systems development lifecycle · Abreast of the latest Microsoft and industry UI design patterns, including thin-client web-based UIs Business Knowledge · Some understanding of options derivatives (preferably currency options) · Basic understanding of the business processes of front/middle/back office Additional Useful Skills: · Good degree in the sciences · Proven track record of successful delivery, not necessarily in an investment banking environment · Good understanding of test driven development (NUnit, NCover) · Proven Agile experience and skills · Good understanding of test driven development and testing frameworks (eg NUnit, NCover) Responsibilities · The successful candidate will have a clear focus on providing business solutions working in a team whilst delivering in a high-pressure environment- · The successful candidate will, as part of a team, work on the analysis, design and implementation of UI functionality- This will involve contact with the architect, business analysts and project managers- The Individual · Proven collaborative skills · Demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving · Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels across technology and the business areas · Keen interest and understanding of the business areas- · Able to perform under pressure in a fast changing environment- · Keen interest in technology- Actively pursued- · Motivated by providing good, fit-for-purpose User Interfaces, and satisfying the users requirements · Mentoring skills would be useful · Possibility of future deputy lead role
