Job Description
The role reports into the GTS Finance Head of Regions, FI and GNB- The successful candidate will work closely with their counterparts in GTS Finance, and key stakeholders within the business to support the head of the GTS GNB (Global Network Banking) business and the GTS GNB management team- The candidate will be responsible for building a relationship with the GNB business to effectively partner the business in all aspects of their financial performance and actively contribute to the successful management of the GNB business- This will include attending GNB board meetings to present financials and providing a finance update at weekly GNB management meetings- The role will also involve providing a detailed view and commentary on the key financial drivers of the GNB business, managing the delivery of MI to assist the business in performance management and achieving their financial objectives, providing a robust forecasting and budgeting process to enable accurate performance measurement, involvement in investment proposals, business cases and capital allocation decisions and ad hoc analysis-
Requirements
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
Technical Knowledge/ Professional Experience · Experience in GTS products is advantageous and financial services experience is essential; · Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of key business drivers and their impact on future business performance; · Strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand relationships and interpret trends on financial data, built on a sound understanding on how a banking business operates (essential); · Strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting experience of revenue, costs, balance sheet, headcount, and RWAs; · History of strong working relationships with senior business executives; and · Experienced user of Excel / Word / Power point-
Education/ Qualifications · ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant with strong accounting skills, in particular on IFRS · Strong systems / modelling skills (highly desirable)
Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills) · Essbase and Khalix (MI tools)
Responsibilities
· Building strong relationships with the GTS GNB management team including GNB regional heads to support the performance management and decision making process of the GTS GNB business · Manage the delivery of accurate and timely MI, analysis and commentary to support the monthly GNB business review process- This includes understanding and presenting a detailed review of key performance indicators including balance sheet movements, P&L impact, cost reporting, volume levels and detailed client information · Work with GTS Finance colleagues to provide GTS GNB MI, analysis and commentary to support GNB with the GTS board and GBM businesses · Represent GTS Finance at the management team meetings of GTS GNB presenting financial performance of the GTS GNB business and any other relevant analysis · Support GTS finance team in conjunction with the business to prepare detailed and regular forecasts, support the annual budget process and provide input into any strategic reviews of the business · Identify MI synergies across the business to ensure periodical reports are harmonised, standardised and satisfy business requirements · Preparation of regular and ad hoc/project analysis to assist the business in their achievement of GTS financial goals and metrics
