Job Description

Purpose of Role

Based in a branch, you'll the first point of contact for customers, helping them find the products and services which are right for them, as well as maintaining good relationships to encourage future sales-


    Activities

    You'll meet and greet customers in your branch, dealing with their queries and concerns and providing the help they need-  You will either offer the appropriate product or service yourself, or introduce the customer to a colleague who'll be able to advise them further-

    With a view to both generating sales leads and ensuring world-class customer service, you'll also contact customers to discuss their precise needs and arrange appointments, while also liaising with colleagues and business partners for assistance when you need it-

    Essentially, you will:
    . Be the first point of contact for customers in the branch
    . Pursue potential sales leads
    . Update both customer files and your diary after each action
    . Action postal/fax/e-mail correspondence where necessary
    . Prepare batches of work for processing off-site


      Deliverables
      Each week, we'll expect you to generate a minimum number of sales leads, book a set number of appointments and handle a quota of customer queries-  It's also vital that you follow closely all our legal compliance procedures and you must also adhere to the RBS values, in interaction with both customers and colleagues-   Salary

      The RBS group is recognised as having one of the most innovative and flexible reward programmes in the financial services sector- 

      • Salary from £12200 - £16650, pro rata
      • Up to 25% benefit funding
      • Up to 15% incentive bonus

      Your salary and benefit funding together make up your ValueAccount- This means that if your salary is £13,000 your benefit funding would be £3,250 making your ValueAccount a total of £16,250*

      (*The above example is based on an employee within the Group Retirement Savings Plan- Other levels of Benefit Funding may apply in other schemes)

      Hours

      • Part Time hours only
      • Fixed Term Contract  3 months
      • Branches are open between 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday, Saturdays 10:00 - 15:00
      • Saturday working will be required
      • Your actual working hours will be discussed at interview
      • Training will be Part Time

      Proof of address history in last 3 years

      • A utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months for current address-
      • Utility bill or bank statements for previous addresses covering 3 year period-

      Evidence of last 2 years activity

      If you have been in full time employment this can be in the form of a pay slip, P60, P45, or tax return dated within the last 3 months

      OR

      If you have not been in full time employment please provide other documentation to evidence the gap eg- A child's birth certificate, travel documentation or documents which confirm receipt of academic qualifications
