Statutory Reporting & Control Statutory Review and Analysis
The Central Statutory Reporting team is responsible for the co-ordination, management, consolidation and review of the GBM Financial data and Statutory disclosures on Walker, HCS and other group systems- Manage the consolidation process, control the central population of certain statutory disclosures and produce consolidated commentaries and analysis-
CSR are the GBM Centre of Excellence for all Statutory reporting requirements and disclosures, provide value added support, and manage the relationship with Group Chief Accountants (GCA) and Shared Services Finance (SSF), including the co-ordination and control of the GBM Statutory Accounts preparation process- Requirements Specific business and technical knowledge required: · Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with financial controls knowledge and experience · Excellent people, process and systems skills and understanding with a keen interest in improving existing systems and challenging existing processed where appropriate · Qualified Accountant (any institute) · Experience working within a Financial Review team with monthly deadlines · Good Microsoft product knowledge, Excel, Word, Outlook and ideally Access and Powerpoint · Experience of investigating and probing issues with cross-departmental impact Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: · Working within the Central Statutory Reporting Team to generate the centrally generated disclosures and supplementary analysis for GBM entities (Credit Risk and Derivatives)- · Assist in the preparation of the monthly Derivatives analysis · Prepare monthly analysis of GBM derivatives balances and raise queries to BUC · Provide support to other CSR areas to ensure completion of monthly reporting, control and analysis tasks · Engagement of BUC, MI and stakeholders in order to effect change · Assist in delivering the Derivatives disclosures for year end · Assist in the preparation of the Credit Risk disclosure schedules and provide commentary · Assist in the delivery of all yearend disclosure requirements (Core, Non-core and APS) · Assist in the preparation of the Y13 and Q8 returns · Assist in the future model review and the report execution to include: (i) Processes (ii) Roles (iii) Geography The Individual The candidate must be able to demonstrate: · The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team- · Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail- · The initiative to challenge current processes and develop effective alternate solutions- · The ability to work in a pressurised environment and cope with the demands of working to tight deadlines- · Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate at all level and develop working relationships with key personnel-
