Job Description Purpose of the role: - 6 month secondment or Fixed Term Contract opportunity has arisen to support the Global Finance Services UK (GFS UK ) Coutts UK team with Business As Usual (BAU) activities and support reporting requirements within the Wealth division-
- During this period the Wealth Management Platform Programme IT systems (Avaloq) will be implemented within Coutts UK - The current target date for this is 31st March-
- The individual will be part of a financial control team whose responsibilities include the provision of accurate and timely financial information to business and group stakeholders in line with reporting cycles-
Scope of the role: - Support BAU for Coutts UK throughout the delivery of the new Coutts UK IT implementation programme-
- Active engagement with the various WMPP workstreams as they impact Financial Control both pre and post implementation-
- Managing the requirements of the wider Wealth division as appropriate-
- Assisting in the management of the delivery of accurate (Financial and Business) Internal and External MI to support the Decision Making process (monthly financial cycles, including year-end and half year, profit verification-)
- Identify and manage process improvements, for both internal and customer service improvements, ensuring Business As Usual and development activities remain focused on Operating Model-
- Assisting in providing solutions to issues arising from financials produced for Decision Support Managers, using analytical and technical accounting skills-
- Awareness of changes to business requirements ensuring any impacts to outputs is sufficiently assessed and appropriate changes are implemented within required timescales-
- Support the implementation of the various projects across the group by dealing with ad hoc queries as and when they arise-
Key Relationships: - Financial Control teams across Wealth division
- Decision Support
- External Auditors
- WMPP and FiRST project teams
- Central Reporting teams within GFS UK
Requirements Experience: - Ability to meet tight deadlines with a high quality output-
- Works well in a team and has experience of building strong business relationships in a changing and fast moving environment-
- Can confidently communicate with colleagues in other areas to jointly resolve any identified issues or challenges-
The Individual Technical Knowledge: - Qualified accountant with strong post qualification experience-
- Banking and Financial Services experience-
- Core Financial systems and processes-
