We are seeking a Cost Management and MI Analyst to be based within the Santander Asset Management UK (SAM UK) finance team. SAM has responsibility for the Santander Group's asset management business and it supports Santander in the development of the retail investment propositions by managing funds and developing market leading products that create value for customers. SAM is the investment provider with overall control and management of all funds, these investment products are distributed via Santander bank in the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling, reviewing, challenging & reporting the SAM cost base whilst also producing reports for the MI team.
You will be responsible for:
· Submitting accurate costs as part of the month end process · Reviewing/challenging costs posted by business areas · Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments · Producing cost reports and distributing accordingly · Partnering SAM UK business areas · Ensuring costs are committed and paid in compliance with internal policies and Corporate SAP · Issuing cost reports to Spain and provide commentary as requested · Understanding Corporate SAP process and assisting the business where required · Producing various MI reports and adhoc information requests including weekly sales reporting and the monthly MI pack
We are seeking a Part qualified accountant with experience in management accounting / MI reporting. You should have strong excel, PowerPoint and Essbase skills. Ideally you will have worked in a Financial Services remit and have knowledge of the asset management industry. You need to be able to demonstrate good analytical skills and be able to maintain and develop established models. Good communication is essential for this role as you will be liaising across business functions at all levels.
