Background
We are currently looking to recruit a Cost / Expense Analyst to support our Bancassurance operations, based in our offices in Bristol.
The role
Your role will be to produce cost / expense analysis for our Bancassurance operations; p roviding expense expertise and consultancy to the Bancassurance Cost Centre Managers . The information and analysis that you provide will be critical in enabling the business to effectively and efficiently manage the Bancassurance operational cost base (currently £25-£30million). You will take ownership for the expense dashboard and provide detailed commentary on any variances as well as calculating and reporting the month end accruals. The management and external (tied) partner reports that you produce will be pivotal in supporting management decision in finding more cost effective ways to run our business. You will also be expected to identify underlying expense trends and business dynamics and communicate these results as appropriate. The role holder will also have the opportunity to get involved in other aspects of cost management and budget control for the Retained AXA business

- Highly numerate with particular attention to detail.
- Superb communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong, engaging stakeholder management skill at all levels.
- Proven ability in financial analysis with the credibility to provide effective criticism and challenge.
- A problem solving mentality.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
Experience in the following would be of particular interest. - SAP - General Ledger.
- Essbase.
- Formal accountancy qualifications / part qualification
