Job Description Team Responsible for Decision Support for Markets and Corporate Finance the team forms part of Markets Finance- Providing analytical & development support to the business and management team- Areas of coverage include management information, financial management and non standard financial reporting- The team also drives the development and review of prospective information such as budgets, forecasts, projections, targets, plans and investment propositions- In addition to providing support to the business executives, the team are expected to guide and influence the key decision makers within the business and finance, to target the financial parameters that are key to achieving the financial goals & metrics of Global Banking and Markets- Role The global markets business is a portfolio of diverse significant businesses- The decision support team is largely aligned by business- There is a requirement to support the Corporate Finance team- Requirements - Relationship building
- Strong analytical skills- The ability to understand relationships and interpret trends in financial data to develop management information and influence key decision-makers
- MI system development and the ability to identify future MI requirements-
- High level of systems literacy
- A track record of initiating and delivering value to the business
- Experience of analysing markets businesses
Responsibilities The role core responsibilities are: - Assist, support and review, in a more senior capacity, the work of the Corporate Finance product/financial controller-
- Assist with production of monthly forecasts, strategic plans, annual budgets, and ad hoc reporting at the request of EMEA Finance, Banking Finance, and Executive Decision Support-
- The candidate will be required to respond to ad hoc business requests for information and analysis on a day to day basis
- Decision Support works closely with business management, business heads, financial control and central finance teams- It is integral to the delivery of finance to the business and the wider firm-
