Job Description RBS Coutts is the international private banking arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group and part of the RBS Wealth Management Division- We know that our people make the difference- That's why we give the support you need to build your career with us- Key Accountabilities: Client contact - Act as second point of contact for clients dealing with issues on behalf of the Private Banker and covering during their absence-
- Attend client meetings, as agreed with Private Banker, to assist with personal development and enhancing the client experience- Meet top 10 clients in Private Banker portfolio at least once per annum (can be adjusted by agreement depending on local circumstances)-
- Undertake targeted number of pro active "client service reviews" on clients identified by Private Banker, typically those who are less active, referring to Private Banker opportunities and issues identified-
- Undertake proactive outbound calls / mailings in respect of sales and marketing matters under the supervision of the Private Banker-
- Support unit with client functions as well as sales and marketing activities-
- Undertake "care calls" in respect of complaints, as directed by Private Banker, in addition to overseeing the satisfactory resolution of complaints-
- Ensure that appropriate Coutts and RBSG policies and procedures are followed for all client business and bank responsibilities-
Sales and marketing - Identify new or improved sales and marketing opportunities via researching client, segment and / or industry information, utilising local and central resources, on behalf of Private Banker in line with planning and portfolio profitability management analysis- (target to be set)
- Maintain sales database of potential and existing clients by agreed definitions e-g- product and profession-
- Pro actively co-ordinating Private Banker clients visits / marketing trips maximising Private Banker schedule as well as contacting clients for formal reviews (investment and lending) in a timely manner-
- Responsible for ensuring Private Banker is fully prepared for meetings and liasing with colleagues, as appropriate-
- Handling leads from New Business Unit and undertaking necessary follow up activities feeding back to Private Banker as appropriate-
Workflow and processing - Ensure efficient co-ordination of workflow to ensure client satisfaction via accurately inputting work instructions onto bank systems (e-g- CWIS), managing e-mail and work queues-
- Preparing client letters, including complex correspondence and multi product sale suitability letters, preparation of complex credit applications and client documentation analysis (e-g- financial statements) within agreed time scales-
Training and development - Undertake training & development in prescribed processes and activities-
- Maintain understanding & knowledge of the application of sales and marketing processes, relevant regulated and non - regulated products, services, procedures and reporting requirements, plus money laundering and compliance regulations-
- Assist with on job training as directed-
Requirements Professional Requirements: - University graduate with at least 3/5 years client service experience / profile gained in a bank
- Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised
