Job Description This is an exciting IC/M3 Manager opportunity within the Group Finance Business & Executive Support Team (FB&ES)- Although this is a permanent role we would also consider a 12 month secondment- FB&ES is a small team of specialists which drives the design and implementation of pan Finance initiatives across the global Finance function of circa 6,000 staff, primarily focusing on People and Communications- Responsibilites Provide high quality programme support to the Finance People Board and Finance Communications Board: - Provide efficient and effective secretariat to the Finance People Board ensuring the timely agreement and syndication of meeting agendas and actions, that all briefing meetings are appropriately diarised and papers issued sufficiently in advance of meetings
- Undertake first level review and challenge on all People Board papers ensuring they meet the requirements of the agenda and are fit for Executive review
- Maintain a high level view of People Board workstream milestones and deliverables and provide a programme summary ahead of each people Board meeting liaising as required with workstream leads and sponsors
- In conjunction with workstream leads, track the People Board workstream budgets flagging emerging issues and ensuring accurate monthly accounting in place
- Ensure review of workstream progress tabled each quarter including an update on KPI's
- Provide full secretariat to Finance Communications Board, ensuring agenda drafted and signed off by key stakeholders and timely distribution of papers and actions
As the Finance first point of contact for the Finance Graduate programme: - Prepare regular KPIs pack to monitor and track programme success
- Ensure timely escalation / resolution of any issues
- Represent FB&ES on the graduate comms call
- Shape the agendas and chair the Finance Graduate Working Group and attend the Executive Steering Group
- Work with HR to ensure any Group wide graduate initiatives are fit for the Finance programme or suggest alternatives
- Prepare briefing papers and updates for the Executive sponsor and the CAO Finance as required
- Review and sign off monthly financials with the graduate team including accruals, and prepare forecasts and budgets
- Manage and resolve programme related issues, escalating where required
Manage adhoc FB&ES business support and communications activities and p rovide project management and delivery support to the FB&ES management team in the delivery of FB&ES and pan Finance initiatives- Requirements - Experience of Finance / RBS People processes - preferred but not essential
- 2-3 years project management experience
- Experience of cross functional working
- Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, in conjunction with s trong verbal and written communications and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision and under own initiative
- A strong interest in driving the people agenda and building the Finance Community
- Tenacity and ability to flex approach to achieve win win outcomes across variety of senior stakeholders with competing priorities
