Job Description We have a 6 month FTC Business Partner opportunity in our UK Retail Finance Division within the Royal Bank of Scotland Group- This role will appeal to am individual from a position held within a Commercial Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager capacity and also from a Finance Partner / Business Partner background- Retail Finance is a key function within the Retail Division- The primary purpose of Retail Finance is to apply specialist skills, knowledge and expertise to support the vision "to change the face of banking"- The work requires people with excellent commercial judgement, top class analytical skills and a passion to improve business performance- Our vision is to become Britain's most helpful and sustainable bank- Our people are key in helping us achieve this, which is why we want to recruit the very best people with the right skills, experience and behaviours The business partner (BP) is the primary interface with the designated business area- The BP supports the aligned business customers and senior BP by providing proactive, effective advice and analysis that adds value to the business- In practice the role is a key business contact providing input into business plans / product offerings and managing customer relationships- The role is also responsible for developing and matching solutions to meet the needs of designated business- Requirements Other Significant Role Requirements: - Strong communication skills that motivate others and provide clear, unambiguous direction- Ability to communicate complex issues and build solutions that are realistic-
- Respected as a true business partner within business area, whilst remaining independent-
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the business drivers and financial measures-
- Capable of operating as an equal player at business management board, consequently working with and challenging Senior Managers on a regular basis-

The following experience is relevant to this role: - Previous experience of building strong working relationships based on trust and earning confidence of the relevant Senior Managers as well as actively engaging and developing contacts through out the business- Experience in influencing decision making at all levels within an organisation, particularly Senior Management level-

- Financial Services background-
- Application of financial management skills and techniques to complex business situations to ensure the decisions made are financially optimal
