Scope of Role:

·           Coordination across all product teams within Wealth Solutions - Global Investment Services, Financial Planning, Tax, Trust & Estates, Banking & Treasury, Wealth Institute and other Regional Management teams as appropriate Co-ordination with RBS Coutts & Adam

  • To manage the extraction and detailed analysis of business performance data across the Wealth Solutions product teams-
  • To present this data and its logical interpretation in a highly professional manner, accurately reflecting performance and trends, thereby aiding effective management decision making-
  • To ensure the relevance and accuracy of any commentary that relates to the data-
  • To work collaboratively with the different Global Product Heads, Finance and business management teams across Wealth Solutions in the development of business metrics tools and models


    Requirements

    ·           The role holder is expected to innovate in the methods of data collation to increase efficiency and in the analysis methods to enhance performance measures- To interface with finance and operations functions to develop the accuracy of data and ensure a consistent representation of performance across the business-

    ·           Attention to detail and the ability to understand, assess and challenge the quality of inputs provided to ensure that the reporting is consistent and coherent across all teams-

    ·           Become an ambassador for Workout, leading workplace workouts as well as assisting product areas in the identification and implementation of Workout as a means of increasing efficiency-

    ·           Ability to handle sensitive strategic / management information with utmost discretion-

    ·           Strong analytical skills to understand & resolve issues arising-

    ·           Ability to work professionally under pressure without compromising accuracy levels, methodical in approach-

    ·           Self motivation to plan the production and completion of the required governance reporting to meet specific deadlines

    Ability to forge strong collaborative relationships with the other regional management and product teams within   Wealth Solutions and other divisional teams within Wealth as appropriate-

    ·           Articulation and effective communication of any issues, problems or difficulties in meeting dealines and objectives to relevant senior management

    ·           Active participation and contribution to team meetings

    ·           Production and maintenance of all documentation, especially those of a sensitive nature, in compliance with appropriate regulatory and internal RBSG standards-

    ·           Documentation and maintenance of internal policies and procedures associated with role activities

    ·           Ensure effective cover of activities in the event of planned absence

    ·        Ensure TCF principles are fully embedded within day to day and change related business practice


      Responsibilities
      • Responsible for the interpretation of data previously extracted from core bank systems and related databases for the completion of analysis to measure business performance against agreed targets and business metrics
      • Understand, interpret  & identifying the impact of any issues or trends arising and escalating to the Senior Manager, Business Metrics & Reporting, the Global Head of Regional Management or Global Product Heads as considered appropriate
      • Collaborating with other teams/business functions in the efficient collation of data, avoiding any unnecessary duplication, in the pursuit of building and maintaining a broad respository of business metrics which can be used to provide the executive with a rich source of information for effective decision-making-
      • To support and manage the effective delivery of adhoc requests as & when these are required -
      • To analyse and progress the development of specific business requirements or facilitating the resolution of specific business problems as directed by the Senior Manager, Business Metrics & Reporting through the gathering of relevant information and consultation with relevant business representatives


        The Individual

        ·           Evidence of maintaining databases, analysing and interpreting data on a large scale-

        ·           Ability to communicate analysis in a professional manner (powerpoint or similar) suitable for presentation to executive forums-

        ·           Exposure to working to deadlines and under pressure

        ·           Broad understanding of Wealth Division (Coutts & Co- and Wealth Solutions) product propositions and core system applications- Knowledge of the requirements of Treating Clients Fairly outcomes and the need to integrate these into all aspects of the work we do-   Technical Knowledge:

        ·           Excellent PC skills, in particular MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint-

        ·           Experience in management and maintenance of databases as well as the ability to construct new databases desireable-         Graduate / Business Analyst qualification preferred but an entry-level investment qualification
        (E-g- IMC or IAQ) would be aacceptable-
