| Job Description |
For over thirty years Santander has developed a real understanding of the commercial mortgage marketplace. Our regional mortgage specialists combine this understanding with their knowledge of local markets. The result is informed decision making and support for customers throughout the mortgage process.
The role involves undertaking development of local areas, progressing loan applications from initial enquiry to payout. Submission of cases holds a first stage sign off responsibility, second stage being held at Head Office.
Main duties
. To develop direct and indirect sources of business and obtain local applications for commercial mortgages
. To progress applications from receipt of initial papers, through interview, valuation and financial analysis to submission for approval
. To produce accurate offer letters for sign off to include all appropriate loan conditions
. To manage the application through the legal process to payout
. To maintain and manage a Portfolio of both new and existing Customer Relationship ensuring customer receives a good quality service, maintain risk monitoring and maximise cross sales from bank accounts, Elavon and Insurance.
. Generate a level of Liability from new, existing and directs clients in the form of bank accounts and Saving Schemes.
. To maintain up to date knowledge of market forces/legislation etc relating to specialist properties/businesses
What You'll Need
. Comprehensive experience of underwriting commercial mortgages
. Detailed knowledge of the commercial property market, valuation requirements, legal processes, financial analysis and trends
. General banking experience is desirable
. Banking/Financial Services qualifications are preferable (ACIB or equivalent)
. Excellent communication skills
. Experience of negotiating at a senior level
. Self-motivation
.
Significant travelling will be required |
