Job Description
This position is to perform senior business analysis role in the Derivatives Settlement Technology area for Equities, Rates and Credit derivatives businesses- We are a looking for an individual with a strong track record of business analysis, process re-engineering and project delivery in an investment banking / management consulting environment- Previous experience of derivatives products, in particular Equity derivatives, would be very beneficial- The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, corresponding technical skills along with the tenacity, energy and passion to innovate and implement change- Experience in other lifecycle stages (development, testing and implementation) is needed-
Requirements
· Excellent verbal, technical, documentation and analytical skills- Ability to think creatively & laterally- The successful candidate will demonstrate a disciplined approach to documentation and will be comfortable compiling management presentations and detailed structured specifications- Track record of successful process re-engineering and participation in development projects- Demonstrable project delivery record with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills- · Knowledge of derivatives business; trade lifecycle especially settlement processes, brokerage and funding processes- · Good knowledge of back office system disciplines · Ability to query systems and develop understanding of databases Additional/Useful skills Understanding and expertise in following is a plus: · Ability to interrogate SQL databases · Proficient in MS Access / Excel · Test Director (or equivalent)
Responsibilities
As a member of the Technology team you will be responsible for conducting client facing requirements analysis with our business stakeholders and wide range of stakeholders from other supporting functions- Analysis will be directed by project, programme or business as usual initiatives and you will be expected to own the given issue from start to finish- You will be expected to document the requirements definition and functional specifications and to oversee the development to successful production delivery, including liaison with our development teams and our testing team in India and any other location as identified from time to time- Throughout the lifetime of a project the person will be expected to report regularly to line management and business sponsors alike- You will be supported by colleagues and line management when required, although you will be expected to take the lead in completing the deliverables and supporting other BA's with their work effort where required- Our principal stakeholders include Settlement technology team, Equities Derivatives front office team and their respective business management and support teams- The role calls for good collaboration skills with local and global technology teams and an intelligent and sensitive approach when dealing with our stakeholders, sponsors and team members-
