| Job Description |
Background In the UK, AXA occupies market leading positions in three of its main markets. These are life insurance, health insurance and general insurance. The AXA Winterthur Wealth Management business harnesses AXA Wealth Management, AXA Isle of Man and Winterthur to bring an exciting new proposition to market, exploiting the very best of all wealth management businesses. The business is able to capture the global capabilities, technical excellence, financial strength and heritage of AXA, whilst nurturing the creativity and specialism of Winterthur. As a Business Advisor you will be required to provide support to the Chief Executive in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the CEO through the prioritisation, control and delivery of tasks and influencing other senior managers/executives. As delegated by the CEO, you will take the lead (acting as CEO representative) on various strategic cross business initiatives/projects relating to a range of issues including financial, strategic and commercial activities. The role · Working with AXA Wealth Senior Management Team, lead and manage ad hoc projects (Wealth specific as well as across AXA UK) as delegated by CEO ensuring that consideration is given to internal challenges and external market factors in the context of Wealth. · Provide the CEO with full supporting materials for all (internal/external) meetings, discussions, and presentations (including collating, prioritising, scripting), ensuring the issues are highlighted/resolved and the risks minimised to the satisfaction of the CEO. · Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within AXA Winterthur Wealth Management, AXA Life, AXA UK and AXA SA to be able to brief CEO on current agenda, business priorities, issues identified and resolved to the satisfaction of the CEO. · Support the CEO liaising with Head of Strategic Development, producing critiques of Board & Committee papers e.g UK Board, ASLH Board, Audit, Compliance, Risk & Steering Committees in order to highlight key issues, making recommendations and highlighting areas which the CEO may like to clarify further. · Work with SMT to develop and agree the goals and performance framework to allow effective people management by CEO. Collate documentation for SMT 1:1's, highlighting areas for further discussion and challenge during 1:1. · On behalf of the CEO, ensure that Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles are embedded within projects and business activity · As directed, manage the administration of the CEO's budget, liaising with CEO and Finance as appropriate ensuring accruals and forecasting is in line with AXA process. · Identifying key messages to be delivered by CEO appropriate to each audience and, working with Internal communications, source material & develop presentations as directed. · Identifying significant issues and risks (including financial, regulatory, customer and reputational) which are material to the CEO and AXA Winterthur Wealth Management business, then investigate by utilising network to liaise appropriately. Skills, knowledge and behaviour · Strong financial services background. · Ability to rapidly understand, assimilate, analyse and act on complex business and financial issues. · Strong relationship management, impact and influencing skills. · High level of presentation and negotiation skills. · Ability to build a strong network of contacts at senior level across the Wealth Management and Life business. · Action-oriented, delivery-focussed mindset and project management skills. · Ability to develop a strong understanding of the Wealth Management business including customers and distribution, servicing and enabling functions. · Good understanding of the wider financial services market and expected future development. · Passion for delivering high quality work and continuous improvement. · Ability to deal with high volume and highly complex workload. · Ability to prioritise and deal with conflicting priorities daily using discretion and professionalism at all times.
