Job Description
The data architect will provide the technical leadership and direction in implementing data architecture for a new global P&L and balance sheet reporting platform initiative in Finance Technology- The data architect will be responsible for leading and engaging in the data architecture design of the platform- The data architect is responsible for developing and maintaining a data architecture that enables seamless interoperability of our systems- In particular, the data architect will need to work closely with architects in other teams to ensure the interoperability of the reporting platform with other key components of the Finance and upstream IT architecture-
Requirements
· Expert in Oracle database design and architecture · Experience in developing information standards and architecting scalable service oriented solutions- · Solid understanding of transaction and information systems, data warehouses, data marts, ODS, MDM methodologies and life cycle as well as ETL and MDM technologies- · Knowledge of tools and methods used to facilitate effective data architecture and data management · Demonstrated team player with results oriented track record- · Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices · Strong architecture design and modelling capabilities · Ability to see the "forest for the trees" · Personal accountability, dealing with ambiguity / change and problem solving · Effective communication, influence and persuasion
Responsibilities
· Core member of the P&L platform project team, interacting with other members of the project team (Project Manager, Business Analysts and Developers and also liaising with other technology teams with the bank · Lead the design of a data architecture that is tightly integrated with the business, information and technical architectures, .Ensure the architecture design complies with group standards, procedures, and best practices- · Research, evaluate and / or recommend new / alternative solutions and technologies to enable and improve data integration across Finance Technology- · Recommend technical solutions for information architecture development, metadata management, master data management, data profiling and quality management and enterprise data integration- .Lead the design of technical solutions required to enable data integration and interoperability across the reporting platform- .Communicate architecture design to project stakeholders and keep them apprised of developments in our data architecture- .Participate in roadmap planning and governance activities-
