Job Description Senior Business Analyst position to join Finance IT- Finance IT is responsible for all systems supporting the Finance processes across Global Markets- The core of the system is a platform based around SGL (Single General Ledger) which is a bespoke platform processing business events from front office trade capture and settlement systems and maintaining ledger balances- Downstream processes feed this data into group systems as well as a number of reporting environments supporting direct Finance processes- Requirements Specific business knowledge & technical knowledge required · Good knowledge across more than one trading areas - FX, Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives or lending- · Good understanding of front to back trade process- · Good documentation skills, able to document complex issues clearly and accurately- · Good knowledge of IT development environment, particularly in functional design and architecture- · Good communication skills and able to work at all levels in the organisation- · Able to build strong relationships across a variety of colleagues: business users, change managers and development teams- · Good organisation and project management skills- · Microsoft Office skills including Visio- Additional Useful Skills: Specific technical skills: SQL, Any formal development methods, Oracle Business intelligence or other reporting tools and Access, MS Project- Business Skills: Detailed Knowledge of Product Control processes like IPV, P&L Reporting and funding- Communication: Presentation, Training-
Responsibilities The Finance IT area is being reshaped in order to be more business aligned and part of this is to significantly upgrade the BA capability- The senior BA with BUC IT will be responsible for all requirements coming into the BUC IT area, liaising between the technical delivery teams and the business areas- They will responsible for- · Working with the PM to initiate and structure a range of projects · Take part in front back processing reviews defining strategic business flows and processes · Work with architecture and Finance change to delivery detailed functional design of components and solutions · Working with end users and Finance Change to document functional and non-functional specifications from business requirements · Defining innovative and effective solutions that meet the business requirements within architecture standards · Working with test team to define execute system testing requirements · Working with end users to define and execute User Acceptance Testing · Working with architecture team to define overall strategy · Definition and documentation of KPIs · Manage End User community relationships · Working with delivery teams and users to manage Change Requests Issues, Risks and Assumptions associated with delivery- · Working with BUC IT BA's in developing rounded and well thought out project approaches and documentation Initially the role will help support and implement the current pipeline of work: longer term the focus will become more proactive and include helping to define projects and helping to secure the budget required- The successful candidate will help shape the BA capability within the Finance IT organisation and in particular the BUC IT area- The Individual Self-motivated with the ability to take a problem and understand and structure solutions high quality with minimal supervision- Ability to innovate and develop efficient solutions to business problems-
