Job Description
Job Purpose
Architas, part of the AXA Group, was incorporated two years ago by combining the multi-management expertise available through AXA Framlington and Winterthur. Further talents from all around the industry have been selected as Architas's fund selection services have grown. The company's activities have been rolled out through three main product areas - fund of funds, manager of managers and a 'guided architecture' fund platform. The role of the Broker Desk Assistant is to provide support services for and build relationships with all Strategic Business Units (SBUs) within the wider AXA Group in respect of products available through or managed by Architas Multi-Manager. You will also be supporting the In-House sales team in order to encourage business development and retention of assets held within Architas Multi-Manager products.    


    Job Description
    • Provision of first class reactive technical investment support to all Strategic Business Units (SBUs) within the wider Axa Group, in relation to Architas Funds and products and relevant market sectors, to encourage business development and retention of assets held.
    • Proactive delivery of key tactical sales messages and relevant fund information to the SBUs in order to encourage business development for Architas products.
    • Provision of assistance to the Architas Sales Team "in the field", in order to support their role encouraging business development and retention of assets held within the Architas Fund and products.
    • Delivery of comprehensive Market Intelligence pack and competitor information to SBUs in order to equip them with adequate information to ascertain competitive advantage of Architas Funds and products, thus encouraging business development and retention of assets.
    • Attendance at Architas and SBU investment events in order to support queries arising from Advisers or members of SBUs attending, thus encouraging business development and retention of assets held within Architas funds and products.
    • Assistance with production of sales presentation material for use by Architas Sales Team, SBUs and Advisers in order to articulate Architas funds, products and tactical messages and encourage business development and retention of assets. Assistance with production of ad hoc tactical investment communication pieces for use by Architas Sales Team, SBUs and Advisers in order to articulate Architas funds and products, to encourage business development and retention of assets.
    • Continuous product learning to ensure adequate knowledge maintained for high standards of support required of Architas, therefore protecting the reputation of the Company and encouraging business development and retention of assets.
    • Responsibility for adhering to the TCF principles as set out in the FSA guidelines


      Skills/Experience
      Experience:
      • Prior experience working within a broker desk or adviser support environment within an investment company or similar organisation.
      • Desirable to have an understanding of Life Company structures.
      • Obtained IAQ certificate or similar qualification and to be prepared to work towards the IAC certificate.
      Core competencies required for this role are as follows:
      • At all times to remain an effective communicator, both internally and externally and using verbal and written communications.
      • To maintain a strong customer focus - the satisfaction of the customer is the main priority and the aim is to surpass the expectations of the client. Adherence to TCF guidelines will be of the utmost importance.
      • To be able to work effectively within a team environment in order to maximise the effectiveness of the Broker Desk, and have a "can do" attitude when faced with potential new ways or working or providing support in different areas.
      • To remain enthusiastic and motivated in order to help the team to achieve goals and objectives.
      • To be efficient and effective at structuring work in order to achieve both quality and quantity of output.
