| Overview Of Department West End branch forms part of the London South East Region of AVIVA GI, and is one of the largest units of its type by GWP in the UK , responsible for the profitable growth of complex commercial business from brokers situated within the North West inner quarter of the M25. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Bonus Account Executive, to work on site at the offices of one of our largest, Key Partner suppliers, who feature in the UK Top 100 Broker list and are well known for their diverse mix of commercial motor and non-motor business. The successful candidate will need to be a confident, trading focused individual with strong technical and relationship management skills, working as part of a team of 4 other on-site underwriters split across 3 sites, as well as their home branch, from where they can expect the support of Senior Underwriters and their Account Manager. This position reports to the Trading Team Manager, and is ideal for anyone wanting to develop their trading skills in a highly challenging environment. About The Role The Bonus Account Executive ( BAE ) is based within a Brokers office (on-site) providing the first point of contact for a Key Partner Broker. The individual will be proactive in servicing and developing a multi-class commercial account through building a strong relationship with the broker. Key areas will be around generating growth on the account, enhancing the existing account and ensuring it remains profitable. The BAE will work closely with Key Account Manager in developing a strategy to achieve this and deliver on customer needs and expectations. The BAE will need to be a decision maker and an ambassador for Aviva, researching market information, sharing and developing this with aligned Trading location. The BAE will need to be able to forge relationships with people at all levels from Directors to Account Executives with the broker and internally, with Senior Trading Underwriters to Regional Underwriting Managers in branch Training will initially be provided in branch, likely to be over an 8 week period, prior to moving on-site on a permanent basis. During the initial 8 week period, regular site visits will be undertaken to meet the broker and other Aviva BAE ’s already situated on-site. The training will focus around the key requirements for the role, such as; § Mandatory Testing § Property / Liability § Contract Works § ARC § Underwriting Principles and Guidelines The BAE will also be self motivated towards their own development and achievement of required underwriting authorities to undertake the role within agreed timescales. As you will be based remotely from your manager you will need to be organised with good time management skills and be happy to work on your own initiative in a relatively self sufficient manner.
