Background The role is working out of AXA's Ipswich location providing support to ensure the fulfilment of tax compliance and reporting obligations for specified companies and to provide analytical support. AXA have recently been voted in the top 20 Best Big Companies to work for by the Sunday Times. The role Responsibilities include: 1. Ensure for designated companies that the tax compliance returns are appropriately drafted for review 2. Analyse the tax position for designated companies to provide timely and accurate tax reporting 3. Provide support for analysis of tax reporting at Group consolidated level. 4. Support the provision of a proactive corporate tax advisory and planning service in respect of particular companies 5. Provide the key source of tax advice for particular areas of the business and help to maintain the profile of Group Tax 6. Develop self and contribute to team motivation 7. Contribute to projects by providing analysis and expert advice and identifying the financial impact of proposed actions on relevant areas of the business Skills, knowledge and behaviour Skills/experience needed: - Qualified accountant, Inspector of Taxes, CTA or equivalent experience.
- Sound and recent tax experience or significant accounting and systems knowledge.
- Commercial/practical approach to the application of tax knowledge.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
