| Job Description |
High quality individual sought to form part of CIB Financial Sponsors team in the North West, demonstrating strong transaction management and an ability to interact effectively with the Private Equity and Advisory Community- A technical role demanding strong credit and financial analysis skills, developing risk assessment and debt structuring skills, together with strong interpersonal, networking and team working skills-
Job Description - To create and maintain a pre-eminent market leading position in the provision of senior debt, mezzanine and other financing solutions to the UK mid market financial sponsors community-
- To lead a deal team which delivers transactions and form part of a deal team for larger/more complex transactions-
- To manage the relationships with Private Equity Sponsors and Key Financial Introducers locally-
- To originate new deals and customers whilst maintaining high levels of credit quality-
Requirements Scope of Role - Contribute to the achievement of the Financial Sponsors UK ('FSUK') financial targets by taking a motivated and proactive approach to effective deal delivery with either lead role responsibility for less complex deals or as part of a larger deal team-
- Managing relationships with, and originating deals from, the local Private Equity & Advisory community-
Technical Requirements - Demonstrate a sound understanding of credit and risk management via strong control and process framework in deal structuring and execution-
- Forumulate appropriate structural solutions to funding requirements supported by a thorough knowledge of product capability and transaction pricing to reflect the associated risk profile-
- Represent RBS at customer, intermediary and due diligence presentations critically appraising and challenging both management and diligence provider views-
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial statements, an ability to analyse often complex financial information, and strong financial modelling skills-
- Oversee and take final responsibility for the production of high quality credit submissions (including FS Sightings, Capital Commitments and Final Credit) that are recognised as presenting a comprehensive and balanced assessment of the risk profile of transactions-
- Lead presentations, alongside the Managing Director, FSUK North, of the above credit submissions taking a lead role in the debate where necessary-
- Negotiation of legal documentation working alongside bank appointed external lawyers-
People Management - Gain the respect of fellow team members through the consistent application of strong deal execution skills and the confidence and capability to interact effectively both internally and externally-
Financial Management - Contribute to the achievement of FSUK financial targets through high quality deal management and appropriate funding structure solutions-
- Contribute to the maintenance of the quality and performance of the FSUK asset portfolios through high quality deal management in line with the FSUK asset class strategy-
- Identify all product partner cross-sell opportunities early in deal processes and engage with product specialists effectively in order to deliver attractive funding solutions to customers whilst achieving optimum capital efficiency/returns for the Bank-
Responsibilities - Contribute to the achievement of FSUK financial targets through high quality deal management, and by identifying all product partner cross-sell opportunities early in deal processes and engaging effectively with product specialists-
- Undertake regular and extensive value added marketing/contact with the Private Equity and Advisory community such that RBS is seen as their first choice financing partner with regular deal opportunities received-
- Maintain continual focus on opportunities for deal origination both from within the existing client base and by using wider market knowledge-
- Provide an outstanding customer experience during the deal process through prompt and effective responses to customers, deal intermediaries and financial sponsors-
- Prepare high quality credit materials that present a balanced assessment of transaction opportunities-
- Deliver high quality financial analysis and cash flow modelling-
- Manage transaction processes effectively, both with internal and external stakeholders, and work effectively as part of a team-
The Individual Experience - Good/excellent knowledge of credit processes and policy and strong credit experience-
- Good/excellent knowledge and application of financial modelling techniques, financial analysis skills, debt structuring principles and negotiation of legal documentation-
- Developing risk assessment, monitoring and control skills in a broad range of customer situations-
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and networking skills-
- Proven ability to both lead a deal team or work as a member of a team to achieve success-
- A high level of knowledge of corporate finance, debt capital market products and risk management techniques-
