Background
Come and join a growing team within AXA PPP healthcare in Tunbridge Wells! This is a challenging role within the actuarial team and has great career potential. We are ideally looking for a Graduate in Statistics with one to two years' relevant work experience, but applicants with a Mathematics background or similar experience will be considered.
The role
You will deliver high quality statistical analysis within the Actuarial team to support AXA to make key business decisions to achieve financial targets. Whilst providing statistical and mathematical advice to other areas of the business as necessary. Key Responsibilities; Statistical Advice and Analysis - Apply statistical knowledge and techniques and provide expert analysis and advice to other AXA PPP business areas. Financial & Actuarial Modelling - Assist in developing new and existing Actuarial models for financial modelling projects. Pricing & Monitoring - Produce technical analysis and reports to assist with key business decisions in Pricing through the monitoring of marketing campaigns and third-party arrangements. Data Structures and Extraction - Develop knowledge of available data sources and support Actuarial team with data extractions ensuring data is validated and of suitable quality. Knowledge of SAS and EMBlem (or similar software packages) will be an advantage.
Skills, knowledge and behaviour
- For this role, you will need to have excellent statistical, mathematical, analytical and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness, flexibility to achieve deadlines and teamwork are also very important.
- A numerical based degree is preferred, but applicants with suitable experience will be considered.
- Ability to design and undertake complex analyses as well as being able to communicate the results
- Interest in Health and Care Insurance
- Strong PC modelling skills
