Job Description
These are replacement roles within Claims Insights Team within the Commercial and Assurance Directorate of Claims- The roles report to the Claims Insight Manager (Non-Motor) & the Analysis, Projects & Delivery Manager and will be responsible for ongoing claims analysis, including detailed analysis of cost components and the forecasting of future claims costs- Working closely with operational areas, the Businesses and Insurance Analysis, opportunities for improving business performance by reducing claims costs will be identified by analysing key drivers- The scope will also include undertaking ad hoc financial project work as required-
Requirements
. Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a numerical subject
. Statistical analysis experience
. High volume data analysis, preferably using SAS software
. Experience in an analyst/consultancy role
. Financial service experience
Responsibilities
. Assist in the set up and population of the Claims Analysis data infrastructure and ensure the ongoing quality, quantity and integrity of the data-
. Analyse claims data to inform the underwriting process, prepare claims inflation forecasts, evaluate project development work and prioritise strategic purchasing initiatives-
. Undertake statistical and probability analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities by key driver across the business-
. Undertake project work to the defined standards of the Division and provide claims management information to support other cross business projects-
