Actuarial Analysis Manager, Bromley (3-6 month contract) This position is a Fixed Term Contract/Daily Rate Contract or Secondment Opportunity-

Responsibilities
Assist and manage the implementation of new processes, systems, methodologies for the calculation of technical provisions under Solvency II, alongside existing and/or new methodologies to support existing and future accounting requirements- Work with external actuaries to develop a prototype solution for Technical Provisions of Solvency II and assist with the gap analysis of the 12 CEIOPS papers on Technical Provisions, a project plan to close the gaps in terms of data, systems and processes- Of course, you wouldn't be where you are today without knowing the importance of accurate analysis- So, supporting the Senior Manager you'll provide a consistent, comprehensive and accurate analytical service to see that we deliver on our targets- Equally important is the development of your analysis team, and you'll pay great attention to building their skills and knowledge, ensuring they have the ability to do their own jobs well and enjoy the same support that you can also expect throughout your RBS career- Key Contacts Internal

The Individual
Whilst we recruit and value skills in underwriting and claims handling, these positions require pure technical analysis skills and a minim um of 2 years insurance non-lfe reserving or capital modelling or relevant analytical experience (or similar experience using analytical and statistical techniques to make commercial decisions)
You will be a qualified or nearly qualified actuary and be educated to degree level or equivalent in mathematics or a related degree- In addition we are looking for: Excellent analytical skills-
Innovative thinking: ability to see problems from different angles in order to find solutions-
Good communication skills especially to senior non-specialists-
Relevant project management experience
Evidence of contributing to projects that deliver real business change with quantifiable value added -
